Let us turn your Retreat into Magic!

The hotel requires a 15% deposit of the total value of the accommodations to secure your dates.
To allow some flexibility, the total reservation amount can be broken out into a feasible payment timeline:
• 15% At the time of booking.
• 25% 90 days prior to the arrival date
• 25% 45 days prior to the arrival date.
• 35% 7 days prior to check in date
After your deposit is made, if you decide to cancel your retreat with more than 3 months prior to your start date, all your retreat deposit will be returned to you. Between 89 to 60 days prior to arrival date a 25% penalty applies to the estimated total reservation, between 59 to 45 days prior to arrival date a 50% penalty applies to the estimated total reservation and if you choose to cancel with less than 45 days to your start date, there is no refund of your deposit.
We do not take any payments from your guests. Your guests will pay you and you will pay us. This way, you can add on your fees to the total amount due from your guests.
No, please make sure to add 13% to the room rates listed in your rooming docs to your price.
With 15 paying guests, one teacher receives full room in a non beachfront room along with one free relaxing massage. (We have limited direct beachfront rooms) With 25 paying guests, two teachers in a shared double room and one free massage for each.
Meals have a 10% of service included, if the service merits more, guests are welcome to leave a little more at their discretion and the staff is very appreciative. There is not gratuity included for housekeepers or the front desk staff.
Your retreat includes accommodations, the use of one of our yoga decks, and all meals.

DETOXIFYING SKIN THERAPY 90 min $130 Try the amazing properties of our Clay Body Wrap and Facial Mask. The clay is very healing, antibacterial and absorbs impurities from the body. We recommend putting your cancellation policy clearly on your marketing material. Our policy relates to the amount due to us. If you want to offer your portion to be refunded with more of a window that is up to you.
We provide you with hi resolution images and videos which you can use to make fliers and promotional materials as well. These are helpful in marketing your retreat. We will put your retreat name on our website, as well as the link to register.

All of our rooms are made with love however the location of the rooms vary. They are all spacious, with comfortable beds, linens, private baths, and A/C. Rooms are listed on your rooming list of your docs, from what would be considered our more deluxe to more standard, within the room type. We have made notes about beds capacity in the tabs of each room to help you make the right decision in placing guests.
There are 20 rooms in total, the hotel is divided into 11 Bungalows and 2 beachfront houses with 5 rooms each.
We will allocate a certain number of rooms in varying room types depending on your estimated number of guests ranging from our standard rooms to our beachfront rooms. For groups of 20 to 25 people, we recommend assigning the guests to 6 Garden View Bungalows and 4 Beachfront rooms. The Bungalows can fit 3 to 5 people making them ideal for the retreat participants to share. You will be able to see exactly how many rooms and what room types we have allocated for you, on your rooming list of your retreat documents. Should you find you are needing more of a particular room type, you can request another one, or if you find everyone seems to want to share and want to add more shared rooms we will do our best accommodate your request.
If you do not think you will have as many guests as you anticipated, please let us know as soon as you have a clear indication and cancelation policies apply at this point. If you have someone interest after this date, please contact us and we can look into holding a room a few days and you can still take bookings but need to check with us first to make sure we still have the rooms.
If you have interested guests, please have them inquire directly to the hotel and we will do our best to accommodate them and offer them a discount.
Unless you are taking all the rooms there will most likely be another group overlapping with your group. Our clientele all tend to be those interested in a healthy holiday with a purpose rather than just random hotel guests. which makes things flow nicely amongst anyone staying at the hotel. We have two yoga decks, a large dining space, as well as our restaurant.
The fastest way to get here is to book a 25 min domestic round trip flight with Sansa Airlines from the international airport in San Jose (SJO) to the domestic airport in Tambor. The flight costs between $190 and $210 per person depending on the season but if your coordinate the flight through us we can help you get a $90 rate approximately. Once at the local airport we can coordinate a taxi to bring them to the hotel. The taxi takes 45 min and costs $60 per 4 people. Transportation costs are based on one way and the number of guests in the vehicle. It is important to note that you must advise your guests that if rates are based per person and someone is delayed or miss their flight which results in them having less people in their vehicle, it can also affect the price.

Gratuity for the drivers is not included in the cost of transportation and is at your discretion. This is an outside contracted service however we have been working with them for many years and feel confident you will be pleased with their services.
You should call to the hotel (506)2640-0062 and please send an email to, and we will assure the drivers are aware of any flight changes that we are notified about, we need this information at least 2 hours before. To re arrange the domestic flight, you will need to contact the airline directly.

Yes. We have a full restaurant open from 7am to 10am, 12pm to 2:30pm and 6pm to 10pm. The bar is open all day. In between meals, your guests can order off our menu for an additional cost.
Our restaurant serves a unique mix of high quality local fish, meats and vegetarian dishes. We strive to use organic ingredients when they are available. We present an avant-garde cuisine using local and native products with the flavors of traditional and artisanal dishes and can be customized to accommodate vegetarian and gluten free, as well.
Every meal is served with a delicious fresh juice. Smoothies, juices and other drinks along with espresso margaritas, wine, beer, can be ordered at anytime, and placed on your guests bill, and taken care of at the time of check out.
We can work with you to review the schedule and offer any suggestions based on our experience prior to your retreat and are always available to assist you in planning if asked. We do our best to accommodate your first requests. We often are hosting more than one group at a time, however we have two beautiful decks and rarely have an issue.

Tropico Latino accespts dollars and credit cardss. Most restaurants and stores will take US dollars. You will not get the best exchange rate. Most places will NOT take Credit Cards. Cash is best and there are two ATM machines located in the crossroad.
There is a store just in front of the Hotel and a pharmacy about a 10 minute walking from us or 3 minute taxi ride.
There is a reliable English speaking doctor at the crossroad located one mile away if anyone should require medical assistance.
Every room has a computer size safe in their room which are recommended to use for valuables. We are not responsible for valuables left outside of the safe.
We do not allow outside food or alcohol. If you have a special occasion and have a bottle please ask at the restaurant and there will be a $25 corkage fee.
Yes. Every room has a mini fridge and a coffee maker.
Yes. However, because we are off the grid, there are times when we may lose power for a short time and appreciate your patience should this situation arise.
